Flooded Jetty – Lake Rotoiti, Nelson Lakes National Park

from $700.00

Limited Edition Fine Art Print — Edition of 25

Captured at Lake Rotoiti in Nelson Lakes National Park, this image was made after a long period of heavy rain, when rising floodwaters had submerged the jetty.

As the storm cleared, low cloud and mist drifted across the lake, softening the wider landscape. In the distance, the St Arnaud Range and Mount Robert gradually emerged, anchoring the scene beyond the water’s edge.

A long exposure smooths the surface of the lake and blends the remaining light in the sky, bringing attention to the simple geometry of the jetty and the calm that follows the storm. The result is a quiet, balanced composition shaped by weather, water, and time.
